Our Story
Founded in 1960, Rickman Constructions’ first development was a single warehouse in Rockville, Maryland. Soon after that initial project, the company began building and leasing space for bankers, office workers, lawyers, and doctors. By 1980, the company was providing medical research laboratories to leading companies and government agencies across various fields of study.
Taking a chance on a condemned entertainment facility in 1982, Rickman renovated and restored operations to Delaware Park, one of the world’s largest Horse Race Tracks. In 1995, the company developed the casino at Delaware Park, the first casino within a racetrack on the East Coast. In 2002, the “Racino” model was duplicated at Ocean Downs Race Track. In 2003, the company assisted with the development of White Clay Creek golf course and club.
With its office located in the same building for over 40 years, Rickman has woven itself into the fabric of the neighborhood, fostering trust and cultivating lasting relationships. Over the years, Rickman has built a strong reputation for quality service and has become a trusted partner for businesses and operations of all types. Its long-standing presence in the community is a testament to its commitment to excellence and dedication to serving the needs of its clients.
Today, Rickman Management stands as the operational arm of the Rickman brand, a family-owned enterprise.
